How a Phat Rocks record gets made

From a finished master to an object you can hold: the standard every release on the label follows, on vinyl, CD and digital.

We don't develop records. We sign music that already sounds finished and give it the object, the design and the distribution it would never get at home. Here's what that looks like.

A master made for vinyl

The vinyl is cut from its own master, not the one made for streaming. Less limiting, more room for the low end and the dynamics of a band playing together.

140 g vinyl, pressed in the US
A printed inner sleeve and an insert
A download code in every copy
A catalogue number, PRR-001 onward, and one consistent sleeve system

The artwork belongs to the artist. The frame around it is ours.

Vinyl, CD and digital, same day

Every release comes out on vinyl, CD and digital on the same date, on every platform. Nobody should have to wait for the format they love.

Limited, but only when it's earned

First pressings run from 100 to 300 copies and we repress on demand. Each release gets at most one limited variant, and only once the demand is proven. No artificial scarcity.
